Mann+Hummel Filters

MANN Air Filters

Clean intake air is essential to ensure the efficient operation of the engine and to prevent premature engine wear. Any abrasive particles of dirt, grit, salt and soot entering the engine will mix with the engine oil forming a 'grinding paste' which will rapidly cause expensive damage to engine friction surfaces. The only means of preventing the ingress of harmful contaminants is through the use of efficient and reliable air filters.

MANN Oil Filters

During engine operation, by-products of the combustion process such as soot and carbon escape into the engine oil. These abrasive particles can cause extensive damage to engine components if not removed efficiently. The oil filter is also responsible for retaining other damaging contaminants that can enter the engine through inefficient oil filler cap, engine breather and dip-stick seals.

MANN Fuel Filters

A basic requirement for problem-free motoring is clean fuel. The fuel flows into the injection system or the carburettor via the fuel pump and the fuel filter. Dirt particles in the fuel can cause increased wear if not removed efficiently, particularly in modern injection systems where operating clearances are minuscule. Serious damage can also be caused as a result of corrosion due to water in the fuel. At worst, this can result in the complete failure of the injection system, bringing the vehicle to a standstill. Wear on the injection system or on the carburettor will result in a considerable increase in fuel consumption and impaired engine performance.

Important note: All filters have a finite life. To ensure optimum engine protection, filters should be replaced in accordance with the vehicle or engine manufacturers service intervals or recommendations.
